Bayelsa Has Declared The Closure Of Markets To Welcome President Bola Tinubu .


In advance of President Bola Tinubu’s visit to the state, the Bayelsa State Government has ordered the closure of markets and proclaimed Friday to be a work-free day.
The state Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, disclosed this on Thursday in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Bayelsa is fully prepared to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She described the President as the “father of the nation” and confirmed his one-day visit is specifically to commission four major “legacy projects” completed in the state. “In view of this, the state government has declared tomorrow, Friday, April 10, 2026, a work-free day to enable workers and other residents of the State to participate in the programmes lined up for the one-day official visit to Bayelsa State.”
