The experience reportedly left the family financially drained and forced him into commercial tricycle operations.

While reflecting on the difficult period, Chinenye said many people doubted their future together because of their worsening economic condition.

“My friends were advising me that this one that this guy does not have money, is it not better you leave him?. Even family were saying I should move on that thank God you have not given birth,” she said.

Despite the pressure, Chinenye explained that she decided to remain with her husband and support him through the hardship that followed the kidnapping ordeal. According to her, she believed abandoning him during his difficult moment would have been unfair.

She noted that the situation tested their relationship emotionally and financially, especially after the family spent heavily due to the kidnap incident and its aftermath…….
