They have kidnapped little children in schools alongside their teachers in Oyo State. They even beheaded Mr. Oyedokun, one of the kidnapped teachers.
The recent incident has attracted national and global condemnation. It has been described as barbaric and totally unacceptable. The people are very angry and boiling.
My fear is that the reaction by the people may be unpalatable and dangerous. The situation is alarming and very critical. If adequate care is not taken, the bubble may burst sooner than expected .
The situation may be aggravated if another incident occurs as being speculated because drastic situation, definitely requires drastic solutions. Time is ticking. There is an urgent need for the federal, sub-national governments and regional leaders to act fast and decisively against these criminals to mitigate the calamity that follow.
Yorubas may be slow to react because of their liberal nature and
omoluwabi dispositions. However, it could be fatal to take their simplicity srupity and cowardice. You take them for granted at tour own peril. Their reactions are usually well-calculated, strategic and decisive. It is obvious that the region is these undesirable elements’ new target; considering recent happenings. I understand that the criminals have cells in every part of the South West.
The good news us that I heard that *Concerned Yoruba Leaders And Strategists* are aware of this development and are mapping out strategies to boldly tackle the menace head long.
Across the South West, the general feeling is that these terrorists are pushing the South West to the wall. The criminals will also see the other side of the people and those engaged in criminal enterprise will surely get *Wotowoto* in return when the people decide to fight back, defend themselves and even take the war to the terrorists.
