Herdsmen Terrorism: US to Block Beef Export From Nigeria to Ivory Coast, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal

A panel of U.S. lawmakers has proposed stopping Nigerian beef and cattle exports to countries including Ivory Coast, Ghana, South Africa, and Senegal over alleged persecution of Christians and rising insecurity in Nigeria.

The panel also recommended sanctions, visa bans,security cooperation, withholding some U.S. funds, and international collaboration to combat extremist violence.
