Lady Arrested For Trying to Smuggle Drugs Concealed in Pie For Detained Boyfriend

Police officers in Ashaiman, located in Ghana’s Greater Accra Region, have intercepted an attempt by a 21-year-old woman, Anita Amoah, to allegedly smuggle suspected illegal substances into a police cell for her detained boyfriend, Richard Acquah.

According to reports from the Ashaiman Police Station, officers discovered four tablets of suspected narcotics, identified as “Timaking” also known as “Red,” concealed inside a pie brought to the station by Amoah….WATCH VIDEO ON X APP

Preliminary investigations revealed that Acquah, who is currently in police custody, allegedly contacted his girlfriend using a smuggled mobile phone from inside the cell...READ FULL STORY; FROM THE SOURCE.

He reportedly instructed her to hide the suspected drugs inside the pie and deliver it to him along with some yoghurt.

Police confirmed that both Amoah and Acquah admitted involvement in the incident during questioning. However, Acquah reportedly claimed the substances were intended for his personal use.

Anita Amoah has since been arraigned before court and remanded into police custody. She is expected to reappear in court on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Authorities say investigations into the matter are ongoing under the supervision of the District Crime Officer, Inspector Clement Amoah.
