A man claiming to be a Nigerian police officer has sparked outrage online after a viral video showed him allegedly threatening members of the public over being recorded while on duty.

“I am a Police Officer and I am seriously suffering for the past 26 years. Any Nigerian who dares video me while I am on duty, I will send him to heaven,” he said in the video.

He further threatened commuters and bystanders, warning that he would “clear the entire bus” of anyone caught filming him while carrying out what he described as his lawful duty.

The disturbing remarks have triggered widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the officer’s mental state and the alleged threats against civilians.
