Political analyst Usman Yusuf has criticized what he described as regional bias in political appointments and voter support, highlighting growing discontent with the current administration’s governance approach. His remarks were made in a video shared on Symfoni.

“Seventy percent of your appointments are Yoruba-centric. You did not win Lagos; Yorubas did not bring you to power. You lost Lagos. Sixty-three percent of your votes are from the north, from the core north (Muslim north).
Christian Northerners did not vote for you; they voted for Peter Obi. Now, you’re pivoting,” he said, emphasizing a disconnect between perceived political support and actual voting patterns.
