Ganduje emphasized that advancements in technology have significantly transformed access to education, making it more attainable for persons with disabilities.

He pointed out that with the right tools and support, individuals with special needs can acquire knowledge and skills that enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.

He further highlighted that targeted investment in assistive devices and specialized education could unlock the potential of many individuals who are often overlooked.

According to him, such efforts would not only improve their personal well-being but also create broader social and economic benefits.

The event attracted a wide range of participants, including experts in disability education, government representatives from both federal and state levels, as well as staff, alumni, and students of Tudun Maliki Special School in Kano.

The program also featured a keynote address delivered by the school’s vice principal, Ibrahim Abdukabir, who spoke on the influence of the Let’s Talk Humanity Initiative.

During his remarks, Ganduje stressed the importance of adopting a human-centered approach to development, noting that prioritizing people, especially those with disabilities, could bring about meaningful transformation in society.

He maintained that collective efforts by authorities and stakeholders would play a critical role in achieving sustainable progress.

He said, “Finally, I urge those in authority and development partners to make a great change; it’s fishing. Those physically challenged can’t stop begging. They can develop to the extent that they can even be employers of labor. They can develop to the extent that they can be geniuses in various fields of endeavors.”
