In a surprising turn of events, 28-year-old Rachael Simba, who had been expecting triplets, instead welcomed quadruplets.
The Citizen reported that Simba, a resident of the Kilimanjaro region, delivered four premature babies at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC) late last month.

According to her interview with the Mwananchi newspaper, the four newborns are currently in the NICU because of their low birth weight.
Simba described her pregnancy, which began in September, as difficult. By the third month, she was advised to rest. Initially, at six months, she was informed she was expecting twins, but doctors later updated this to triplets.
