“But I begged him, and up to today, he has refused to send my money back. Despite begging and appealing to Nurudeen Azeez, he refused.”

Oladimeji told FIJ that Azeez’s claim was proven false after he obtained a court order. “I reported to my bank, and they asked for a court order. But it has been confirmed that he’s only owing PalmPay N8,000.”

Further checks on Azeez’s account revealed that he moved the remaining funds to an OPay account in the name of ‘Ayomide Adam Azeez’.

When Oladimeji called Azeez on Thursday, the PalmPay customer listened and hung up. “I have called him and explained to him that everything has been exposed, but he ended the call,” Oladimeji said.

FIJ texted and phoned Azeez for a response. He answered the call but said nothing after the reporter spoke, then hung up. He has not provided a subsequent response as of press time.
