At some point during the night, Consolata was reportedly seen attempting to reach out to the building’s watchman, appearing distressed.
Witnesses claim the guard did not respond to her gestures and instead walked away. Moments later, a confrontation is said to have occurred inside the apartment.
Odhiambo, who is currently in police custody, told investigators that he found Consolata standing near a window shortly before her fall, alleging that she took her own life.
Authorities have, however, treated the case with caution, noting inconsistencies in the account and the sequence of events leading up to her death.
By morning, multiple individuals had accessed the room, raising further questions about who had rented the apartment and how many people were involved that night.
Investigators are now working to piece together the timeline and establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage among Kenyans, many of whom have taken to social media to question the role of those present, including the watchman’s response and the actions of the man who accompanied her.
Police have launched a full investigation, with officials urging the public to remain patient as they gather evidence. Meanwhile, Consolata’s family remains inconsolable, calling for justice and clarity over the heartbreaking loss.
