The Nigeria Police Force in Ekiti State has reacted to a viral video showing one of its officers behaving erratically while dressed in camouflage uniform, with suspicions that he was under the influence of illicit substances.

According to the statement, the police sergeant, who is attached to the Ikole-Ekiti Division Police Headquarters, is currently in stable condition and will undergo disciplinary procedures.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Falade Adegoroye Michael, also directed that the officer be subjected to psychological and medical evaluation ahead of further disciplinary action.
The police command stressed that the conduct displayed in the video does not reflect the standards, discipline, and values of the Nigeria Police Force.
The command further reassured the public of its commitment to professionalism and accountability within the Force.
