According to an eyewitness account, the incident involved a group of female friends who had gathered when one of them discovered that her iPhone 16 was missing. The eyewitness stated that after a thorough search, the missing phone was allegedly found concealed in the bag of one of the girls, identified as being from Ahoada. It was further alleged that the suspect had removed the SIM card from the device, raising suspicions of intentional concealment.
Tensions quickly escalated following the discovery. In what was described as an emotional and chaotic reaction, some members of the group allegedly confronted the suspect physically. The situation reportedly turned violent, with the young woman being beaten and forcibly stripped of her clothing in public.
The whole thing happened very fast, the eyewitness said. “People were shouting, accusing her, and before anyone could intervene, they had already started beating her and tearing her clothes.
The incident drew attention from bystanders, some of whom later intervened to calm the situation. Authorities were subsequently notified, and all parties involved were reportedly taken to a police station in Port Harcourt for further investigation.
