“You Made 3rd Class In University” Kenneth Okonkwo Criticises Peter Obi Over Leadership Claims

According to a report by Channels Television on Friday, May 8, 2026, ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has criticised Peter Obi over what he described as an attempt to create the impression that he is the only Igbo politician capable of leading Nigeria as president.
Speaking during an interview on Channels TV, Okonkwo questioned Obi’s political approach and accused him of undermining the abilities of millions of people from the Igbo ethnic group.
He stated that no single individual should present himself as the only option for national leadership, insisting that there are many competent and qualified Igbo leaders who can also govern the country effectively...READ FULL STORY; FROM THE SOURCE.
Okonkwo further took a swipe at Obi’s academic background while expressing his disagreement with the former Anambra State governor’s political conduct. He argued that leadership should not revolve around one individual, adding that the Igbo nation is filled with talented and intelligent people capable of handling the responsibilities of the presidency.
The former Labour Party spokesperson also revealed details about his past relationship with Obi within the ADC. According to him, he repeatedly defended Obi during meetings of the party’s National Working Committee despite having personal concerns about some of his decisions.
He explained that he did not oppose Obi’s request to allow his preferred candidate oversee the role of National Organising Secretary, which was expected to supervise the party’s primary election. Okonkwo also disclosed that he remained silent when one of Obi’s associates was given control of the party’s online membership registration process in order to make Obi feel comfortable within the party structure.
Okonkwo maintained that Obi should step aside and allow other qualified Igbo politicians the opportunity to pursue the presidency, stressing that leadership should not be centred on one personality alone.
In his own words, he remarked, “You want to project the idea that it is only you who can be president? Who are you? Is that not an insult to more than 20 million Igbo people? You made 3rd Class in the University and then you’re saying it is only you that can be president.”

If u are saying He made 3rd class, what class did the current president make, and based on the country structue,i dont think politics has anything to do with education as far as Nigeria is concern.
